to understand His suffering... Being the Easter period, it is once again a time to remind the world of what Christ has done on the cross for us, and how He has raised from the dead and is victoriously alive. It is not something that we forget most days of the year, but this period is especially significant because it gives us an easier way to teach others about the Christ... and to remember Him ourselves because we are famous for forgetting Him through the turmoils of lives. I was just wondering what it is like to endure what Christ did. Would I ever be able to comprehend His sufferings? All that mocking, that shame, that pain, the ability to do something about it but not even lift a finger against it, the humility, the passion, the submission. The list goes on... And here we are, everyday of our lives, we enter and exit trials. Some easier than others. Some so excruciatingly painful for us. Some where we've believed God for something and it happened, while other times nothing happens. We are put to the test every day, the test of our faith. And we feel that we are in constant suffering as one thing piles on to another. Oh, and its not just the trials, I forgot to mention those slithering temptations that slide in here and there just to make things all that more difficult to stand up straight. Do all these even compare to what He has been through? Sometimes, we give up on God when we've gone about halfway, thinking that its hopeless, and He isn't really there. Can you imagine what will happen if Christ gave up halfway through His sufferings? He might still be left hanging on the cross! Oh thank God He didnt!! Is that where you are now? Are you left hanging in the middle of your sufferings? Thinking that no one is going to come through for you? try to remember Christ on that cross. He had to go through everything, and willingly He did, so that the Father's name may be glorified. Let us try our best to understand His suffering... and then maybe the pre-occupation with ourselves will lessen...
