to be touched by the Lord It's been a while. I have written and deleted. Written and left uncompleted. Not being able to finish a single entry, or think of one to add. I think it has been the worst time for me - of spiritual dryness. To be thirsting, yet not finding. To be thirsting, yet having to give out of my empty cup. To be thirsty, to be lost. I twirled and spun. I thought I found it, but I didn't. Last night was a revelation. I don't know what happened. But I thank God for it. He showed me His hand. It was a trail of learning to settle in His security. Sleep through the storm. To fight with something within my spirit, to toss and turn in uneasiness. Unable to rest, yet being able to fall asleep in His strong arms. Tonight has been a revival. I'm still shivering with excitement. I know He hasn't left. He was always there. I just never knew how to open the door that I unconsciously shut. I lifted my hands in worship, and dismissed the thoughts of skepticism. I closed my eyes and was brought to my knees. I knew the moment the Lord met with me. I'm His forever, and He is mine. Oh to be touched by the Lord. It opens the eyes of my heart. It reveals the lies and deceit I have been told. And worse, the lies and deceit I told myself. I don't want to ever let go. I know He will never let go. This is why I'm typing, because when I do, I pursue. I leech on and unravel more of His truths to share. I love sharing the Lord. I pray you will be touched too. In Jesus name, Amen. |
